HEALTH AND ILLNESSES

There are two types of diseases: infectious and non-infectious.

  • INFECTIOUS ILLNESSES: they are caused by harmful organisms called pathogens entering our body. Ex: salmonellosis, conjuntivitis and tonsillitis.
HOW DO INFECTIOUS DISEASES SPREAD?

Inside the human body, the pathogen,reproduces and interferes with the normal functioning of the organism. The body reacts agaist the infection causing fever and inflamation, which are symptoms of infection. hey are trated with antibiotics or antivirals.
